Virtual Regatta

Members and guests are invited to compete in Lancing Sailing Club’s Spring eSailing Regatta which is part of the RYA club and interclub eSailing program.

 

RYA eSailing Spring Club Championships

The RYA has introduced the ‘RYA eSailing Spring Club Championship’ Notice of Race to allow all competitors the chance to compete for the title of, not only RYA eSailing Regional Spring Club Champion, but also RYA eSailing Spring Club National Champion over the next few weeks.

Lancing Club

Championship – Open 

5 Race series

 

Training:

Wednessday 15th April

Practice Races 1st start 20:00 Hrs

 

Championship:

Sunday 19th April Races 1, 2 & 3

Qualification rounds 1st start 20:00 Hrs

Sunday 26th April Races 4 & 5

Final rounds 1st start 20:00 Hrs

Competitors will compete over a 5 race series (2 discards) for the Lancing Sailing club eSailing Club and Open champion titles, with a maximum of 20 competitors per race, to be completed by the end of April 2020.  If there are more than 20 entries, competitors will compete in qualifying rounds and finals.

To add to the fun, the Single Fleet final results will be spilt into Youth, Adult, Master and Grandmaster categories.

The winner from the Club Championship will go forward to a RYA Regional Final.  The top competitor from each Region will go forward to a National Final.

Virtual Regatta APP

To enter you will need a *Virtual Regatta online account. Go to the Get Started page for instructions to register and download the APP.

*A basis Free version of the APP is sufficient to race.

A *VIP account has been purchased by CraigSailing CIC, this account enables the Race Officer to set custom races, select venues, courses and to generate unique race join codes, which will be published on the Zoom Clubhouse chat page prior to the race start sequence. Further details can be found on the join a race page.

* Competitors do not need a VIP pass to join our races but there maybe be a small in APP charge for boat customisation, i.e. Hull  colour and Sail logo’s/No. etc.

Entry

  • Entries to be submitted online no later that 2 hours prior to any published race start time.
  • Late entrants may race (subject to numbers already entered being less than 20) but will be scored DNS in the series.

The series will be shown live here on CraigSailing.com and other social media pages, further details to be posted shortly.

Donation

  • We ask all competitors over the age of 18 years to make a minimum £5.00 donation to CraigSailing CIC to help us provide mental health sailing programs to people who experience a life crisis. Thank you for your support.
