New for 2021 – The Solent Adventure
The Solent Adventure is a three-day sailing Adventure aboard Cascadeur a well-loved Jeanneau 12.5. She sails wonderfully, with lots of polished wood inside giving her a very welcoming feel. Fully equipped with offshore safety equipment, She is well suited for Solent cruising, making her an ideal choice for our Pilot Sailing Adventure.
Day one, meet your Skipper and shipmates @ 15:00 Hrs aboard Cascadeur, she’s moored in Shamrock Quay, slip lines 17:00 Hrs for an evening sail towards Cowes, anchor up for the night, day two and three, light breakfast and then head out into the Solent, destination where ever the wind and tide takes, at sunset moor up in a marina of our choice with access to a good pub, all too soon on day four up early, start to head back up Southampton Water, destination Shamrock Quay, for midday had back to Cascadeur’s owner.
“Please be aware event dates and itinerary are subject to alteration”.
“We are monitoring Covid-19 guidelines daily and will update these pages as events on the ground change”.
The Cascadeur sleeps up to 10 crew members within two triple cabins, one double cabin and the main saloon cabin, there are two heads. A minimum of 6 crew members is required for the Adventure to take place, however, subject to the lifting of the covid-19 limit of 6 we may increase numbers to a maximum of total 8 crew members aboard, the 4 cabins will be allocated by way of two-person share basis to minimize covid-19 bubble sizes per cabin.
This event is highly subsided by CraigSailing CIC, where the fee covers the yacht charter, limited cruising fuel and overnight mooring costs in a selection of Solent accessible marinas. All we ask in addition to the fee is for each member of the crew to bring victuals to make one main dish for up to 8 people. Of course, don’t forget to bring any nibbles you may wish to share with your crewmates. A list of meal ideas will be circulated between the crew a few weeks before departure.
If you are not able at present to book but wish to be added to the RSVP shortlist, please click the RSVP button below. However, please note cabin berth allocations will be made a 1st booked bases.
To secure your berth onboard Cascadeur a deposit fee “donation” of £100.00 is due at the time of booking, the deposit fee is non-refundable, followed by a further £100.00 berthing fee “donation” due 8 weeks before departure. All fees due total £200.00 must be paid in full before departure. Non-payment of the berthing fee by the due date may result in the loss of your berth aboard.
Cancellations, any refund of the berthing fee will be at the discretion of CraigSailing CIC and will normally only be given on the condition cancellation notice is received in writing 8 weeks prior to departure and/or a replacement crew member takes your berth, either way only a 50% refund of the berthing fee will be considered. Any amounts retained by CraigSailing CIC will go towards providing subsidised Sailing Adventures for those less fortunate. In the event, enhanced covid-19 restrictions prevent the Adventure from going ahead as planned, then the charter company has agreed for any fee paid to be credited for use at a later date once covid-19 restrictions have been lifted.
By making the deposit fee “donation” payment you have accepted CraigSailing CIC trading/payment terms and you will abide by the Adventure safety requirements.
Participation in Sailing Adventures comes with risks of personnel injury and/or drowning. CraigSailng CIC as far as practicable makes best efforts to minimise any risk identified with the participation in a Sailing Adventure. CraigSailing CIC does not provide or accept any liberty when providing Sailing Adventures, crew members participate entirely at their own risk.
